Welcome to "Down Time", a true classic beach cottage that's been newly renovated to be the fresh, clean & comfortable modern escape that you have been searching for in your next Sanibel rental home! This beachside beauty boasts new hardwood floors throughout, an open floor plan, and 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms that are complimented with bright and relaxing beach style decor. The split floor plan is the ideal setup for a family or for couples to share, with two guest bedrooms with shared bath on one side of the house, and a large master suite on the other. The fully-equipped kitchen is stocked with all the essential kitchenware needed to make your favorite vacation meals at home. The large lanai stretches the entire length of the house and is a perfect spot for outdoor dining on the upper deck level and/or enjoy your time together in the brand new heated pool (as of June 2016) down below. The neighborhood has nearby, private beach access that puts you on the sandy, shell strewn beach within a short 5 minute walk or bike ride. Beach wagons, chairs, towels, umbrellas and coolers are provided to allow for the most convenient way to spend long days on our beautiful beach. The golf cart will also be available for use around the neighborhood and for easier trips to the beach. The home is located toward Sanibel's West End of the island close to Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, the Sanibel Recreation Center, and many restaurants & shops that are all within a few miles bike ride or short drive.

Home amenities include: 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms -- 1 King bed, 1 Queen bed, & 2 Twin beds (sleeps 6), 4 flat screen TVs, 3 DVD players, free WIFI & cable, heated pool, large enclosed 2 story lanai, golf cart use, beach parking permit, washer & dryer, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ gas grill, covered parking, outdoor shower. NO Pets Allowed. NO Smoking. Bed linens and bath towels included. Beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella are provided for added convenience.

Please note: ALL of our Single Family Homes require a 28 day minimum rental period per the City of Sanibel. This unit is non-smoking with a maximum occupancy of 6 people.

  Down Time is located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Neighbors were respectful and friendly. There were dogs but you seldom heard them bark and when they did it was briefly. The golf cart provided was much appreciated especially after a day at the mostly deserted beach area. The kitchen had every essential cooking tool and of excellent quality. Beds and sofas were comfortable. Having our own pool was heavenly; again quiet and peaceful. Weekly Pool service was great. Every detail for a relaxing vacation was covered. We didn’t want to leave!!

  The space in the house was great. The kitchen was well equipped; we appreciated the quality of the cookware and knives. The lanai was tremendous and the ability to completely open the sliding doors in the living room gave the house a lot of extra room. The golf cart for trips to the beach with chairs was really handy. We (and our young granddaughter) appreciated the pool and pool toys.
