This gorgeous west-end home boasts 3 bedrooms plus a loft space & 2 bathrooms and has been updated and outfitted with beautiful upgraded finishes & coastal decor. Come and enjoy all the beauty of our incredible Sanctuary Island and the Sanibel wildlife in all it's glory right in your own back yard! The location to the beach is a leisurely 20 minute walk where you'll spend your days strolling for that rare Junonia shell or enjoying the amazing Florida sunsets! Morning, noon & nights, can be spent in your large private-heated pool made for the whole family to enjoy and relax. So pack you bags, bring your family -- even bring your dog! This is the Sanibel home away from home you've been anxiously waiting to enjoy!

Incidental Damage Benefit - We understand accidents happen! Every booking with Sanibel Vacations includes protection for those incidental accidents causing damage to the property. Applies to incidental damage only with limits. Details in rental agreement.

Home amenities include: 3 bedrooms + loft/2 bathrooms -- 1 King bed, 1 Queen bed, 2 Twin beds & 2 pull-out futon sofas (sleeps 8), 4 flat screen Smart TVs (streaming only), WIFI available, washer & dryer, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ gas grill. Pets considered (Dogs only). Bed linens and bath towels included. Beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella are provided for added convenience.

Please note: ALL of our Single Family Homes require a 28 day minimum rental period per the City of Sanibel. This unit is non-smoking with a maximum occupancy of 8 people.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shimmering Shells! Our family consisted of a rotating cast of our 4 adult children, their significant others and two dogs. I cannot express how thankful we were for the dog-friendly aspect as a month away from our furry friend(s) would have been too long. The home is comfortably furnished. The large dining table allows for a fun family game night as well as enough seating for family dinners. The kitchen is spacious with newer appliances, tons of dishes and just about any utensil you'd require to prepare a meal. The outdoor lanai/pool area also boasts a large dining table with multiple seating options. The pool was clean, well-maintained and an absolute godsend when temps rose into the 90's. With its prime location in a quiet neighborhood (within walking distance to two of Sanibel's best beaches) and close proximity to The Ding Darling Refuge, Shimmering Shells is a real gem. We were never at a loss for something to do and spent our days biking, kayaking, fishing, shelling and paddle boarding. We also took advantage of Sanibel's many restaurants. Some of our favorites were Gramma Dot's, The Timbers, Rosalita's and Mud Bugs, although they are not within biking distance of this home. Lastly, the property management company, SBL Vacations, was excellent. The entire process from reservation to check-out could not have been easier and their office is staffed with helpful and friendly folks!
